Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tar Patch Inc. collects, uses, and discloses information when You use puzzlebaddie. The Service provides embedded jigsaw puzzles for Partner websites. Players usually use the Service from a Partner website without creating an account. Partners and Partner Users use accounts to manage media source settings and puzzle integrations.

Definitions

How the Service Works

The Service does not provide a public feature for Players or ordinary users to upload their own pictures or videos. Puzzles are created from media URLs supplied by Partners or their websites. The underlying media is generally hosted by the Partner or another location authorized by the Partner.

Because the Service is often embedded in or linked from Partner websites, both We and the Partner may process information related to a Player's puzzle session. The Partner's own privacy policy may also apply to activity on the Partner website.

Information About Players

When You play a puzzle, We may collect:

Players are not required to create an account with Us to play puzzles.

Information About Partners and Partner Users

When You create or manage a Partner account, We may collect:

Partner Media and Media Source Data

We may store media URLs, media source URL prefixes, domains, client IDs, return links, and related metadata needed to validate requests, create puzzles, resolve copyright complaints, route Players back to Partner websites, and operate the Service. We do not treat the Service as a general media hosting service for user uploads.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember settings, authenticate Partner Users, maintain sessions, prevent fraud, analyze usage, and improve reliability. Necessary cookies and storage are used to provide the Service. Optional analytics cookies are used only if You accept them. You can configure Your browser to refuse some cookies, but parts of the Service may not work correctly.

How We Share Information

We may share information:

Retention

We retain Personal Data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations, and enforcing agreements. Gameplay and Usage Data may be retained in identifiable, pseudonymous, aggregated, or deidentified form depending on operational and reporting needs.

Account Deletion

Partner Users may request account deletion from the account menu. If the requester is the owner of a Partner account, deletion may also delete the Partner account, team member records, and media source data after the stated waiting period unless cancelled. If the requester is only a team member, deletion removes that user's account and does not delete the Partner account.

Players may request removal of a Player identity for a specific Partner from the puzzle page, and Partners may also request removal for their own Partner account. When processed, We replace the Partner-scoped player identifier with a non-identifying internal value and display the player as "Anonymous" while retaining anonymized gameplay history and aggregate statistics.

Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including security logs, audit records, legal records, and information needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where We or Our Service Providers operate. By using the Service, You understand that information may be transferred to locations with privacy laws different from those in Your jurisdiction.
